Introduction
J422 is a carbon steel electrode with a lime-titania coating. It can be used with both AC and DC power supplies and is suitable for all-position welding. It has excellent welding process performance and good mechanical properties. The arc is stable, with little spatter. Slag removal is easy, and re-striking the arc is simple. The weld bead is beautifully formed, and the weld ripple can be wide, narrow, thin, or thick. Welding with it is easy and efficient. It is used for welding important low-carbon steel structures and low-alloy steel structures with low strength levels, such as Q235, 09MnV, 09Mn2, etc.
The usual welding positions are PA, PB, PC, PD, PE, and PF.

Tips
Generally, the welding electrodes do not need to be baked before welding. When the electrodes are damp, they should be baked at 150 - 170°C for 0.5 - 1 hour before use.
