FEATURES
GENERAL-PURPOSE:
Rods are the ideal general-purpose rod for medium to shallow penetration, poorly fitted joints and all types of mild steel. Specifically great for light gauge metal, sheet metal and duct work.
GREAT LOOKING WELDS:
The small size of these rods make them well suited to low heat on thin metals. They provide easy operation and appealing welds.
EASY CLEAN-UP:
These rods result in low spatter and excellent slag removal. They are virtually self-cleaning electrodes in vertical down fillets.
Welding Effect
Stable Arc, Less Spatter
Stable Arc:
A consistent and steady arc ensures uniform heat distribution, leading to even melting of both the base and filler materials. This uniformity is crucial for producing strong, defect-free welds.
Minimal Spatter:
Spatter consists of small molten metal droplets expelled during welding, which can adhere to the workpiece or surrounding areas. Excessive spatter not only requires additional cleaning but can also compromise the appearance and quality of the weld.
The Weld is Perfectly Formed and Visually Appealing
The visual appearance of a weld reflects its quality and the precision of the welding process. A well-formed weld should exhibit:
Uniform Bead Profile:
Consistent width and height along the weld seam indicate controlled heat input and proper technique.
Smooth Surface:
A smooth weld surface without irregularities suggests adequate fusion and correctly set parameters.
Absence of Defects:
The lack of porosity, cracks, or undercuts signifies careful preparation and precise execution.
Slag is the residue formed from flux during welding processes such as Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). Efficient slag removal is important for both the functionality and appearance of the weld.
1. The flow rate of shielding gas should be 15~25L/min;
2. The arc length is generally controlled atabout 4~6mm;
3. The influence of wind is particularly unfavorable to welding, when the wind speed is greater than 0.5m/s,windproof measures should be adopted, pay attention to air exchange, and avoid damage to the operator;
4. Using pulse arc current, stable jet arc can be obtained, especially suitable for stainless steel, thin plate, vertical welding. Welding of overlay welding;
5. Please use Ar+2% 0 gas combination to weld ultra-low carbon stainless steel, do not use Ar and C mixed welding such steel F. Strictly remove impurities such as oil, rust and water at the welding place during welding.
